About the event
Our summer season comes to a close Thursday, September 25. We hope you can attend the final event of our summer band session, presented as a "parlor concert"--a group of friends entertaining one another in a grand living room!
Ken Carper, the summer director, divides rehearsal time between a jazz band featuring all instruments and our concert band. This unique jazz band performs traditional jazz standards and is open to any concert band instrument, along with piano and percussion. The concert band will play music from last season, as well as pieces planned for the upcoming season.
Our New Horizons Summer Session offers a fun opportunity to keep your instrument skills sharp while making music with friends!
Players and guests are invited to celebrate the end of the summer session by going to lunch at a nearby restaurant (TBD).
